Analyst: Apple supply chain hints at LTE Apple Watch, ‘hybrid’ Lightning/USB-C connector

Hands-on with the updated Apple TV Remote app for iPhone and iPad [Video]

As we noted in a prior post, Apple has updated its Apple TV Remote app to version 1.1. This latest version, which comes on the same day as tvOS 10.2 and iOS 10.3, brings long-awaited iPad support to the table.

Analyst: Higher iPhone 8 price to help control high demand for new camera features & design, offset BOM

A new analysis shared today by Business Insider from JP Morgan’s Rod Hall shows further proof that an iPhone ‘supercycle’ is imminent. A larger than normal amount of users on older generation models are expected to finally upgrade to Apple’s newest device later this year.

In Hall’s analysis today, he believes the new iPhone 8 is expected to have a higher price point helping to curb some of the device’s inevitable high demand. Hall believes features like wireless charging, a larger display, and improved camera tech will convince those lagging behind to finally upgrade.

Apple releases security update ‘2017-001’ for OS X Yosemite and El Capitan

Apple has released a new security update for OS X Yosemite and El Capitan, or OS X 10.10 and 10.11, the operating system released two years and one year ago. Apple hasn’t yet detailed what security fixes are included beyond these release notes:

Security Update 2017-001 is recommended for all users and improves the security of OS X.

The update could be related to recent security vulnerabilities detailed in the news or routine maintenance for older versions. macOS 10.12.4 is the latest version of the Mac operating system for compatible machines and was released earlier today.
